Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists are seeking a passionate, self‑motivated, and positive Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, close knit nursing team. In this role, you will work closely with our dedicated team to deliver exceptional care to patients undergoing procedures across all of our services. This position would be ideal for someone with a strong interest in anaesthesia and a desire to further develop their skills in a supportive, specialist environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring of patients under general anaesthesia through all areas of the hospital
  • Monitoring of sedated patients for all services
  • Assisting with procedures
  • Preparing patients for surgery
  • Setting up equipment
  • Maintaining and cleaning equipment including organisation of servicing and repair of items under your responsibility
  • Assisting with patient admits
  • Placement of intravenous catheters and blood sampling
  • Running basic laboratory tests in the absence of the Laboratory Technicians
  • Monitoring of stock and re‑ordering of equipment under your responsibility
  • Maintaining hygiene levels within the clinical space to ensure all rooms are kept to a high standard of cleanliness
  • Supporting the SVN’s and the induction of new RVN’s joining the team

About You:

  • Is a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
  • Has good organisational and communication skills
  • Works well in a busy environment
  • Has a proactive 'can do' attitude
  • Is eligible to work in the UK

Applications for this position would be considered for full or part time basis. Participation in the weekend rota on a 1:4 Saturday or Sunday day shift would be required alongside a rotation into the late procedure shift. The rotation for this role will also include a 1:4 week into wards.
