We are seeking an experienced veterinary nurse to join our team. Rotating throughout the working week between inpatient, theatre and consulting roles, our nurses can get involved in a varied caseload of small animal work. We pride ourselves on providing our own out-of-hours service. With dedicated night nurses, there are no weeknights on call in this role. However, participation in our 1:5 Saturday and Sunday day rota, along with an equal share of bank holidays is expected.

Hours: 34 hours per week, 1 x 8.30am-6.30pm shift, rest of week 9am - 3pm.

Who we are: Rutland Veterinary Centre is a first opinion RVCS accredited veterinary practice with 5 branches and a hospital in the surrounding area. We pride ourselves in offering on-site emergency care, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our dedicated team of clinical and non‑clinical staff provide high standards of bespoke, affordable care to our patients and our clients. We are heavily involved in the local community and actively support many local pet charities.

What we offer:

  • 34 hours plus 1:5 weekends, though currently 1:8.
  • No nights on call during the week or weekends, however you are expected to participate in the shared bank holiday rota.
  • Salary: starting from £15.50 per hour dependent on experience.
