Southfields Veterinary Specialists is a leading multidisciplinary referral hospital providing advanced veterinary care across a wide range of specialist and emergency services. You will work as part of our large, multi-disciplinary team, consisting of consultants, residents, interns, nurses and Patient Care Assistants (PCA), to care for a large and varied referral and emergency caseload. This is a rewarding and challenging role that will require teamwork and dedication to each service and their patients.
Our multidisciplinary RVNs support with patient care and medical and surgical interventions across our wide range of services including, but not limited to, internal medicine, neurology, diagnostic imaging, inpatient care, oncology, surgery and anaesthesia. This is an exciting and diverse role that provides the opportunity to contribute to all our clinical services, with encouragement and support to upskill in a particular area of interest.
Experience and an enjoyment of anaesthesia would be advantageous, however full training and support will be provided.
You will work a range of shifts between 7am and 8.30pm and 2:8 weekends with time off in lieu following.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient care, eager to learn, and ready to be part of a collaborative, supportive team. You will be a strong communicator, solution-focused, and enthusiastic about developing new skills while helping others grow too.
Previous referral experience would be a bonus but is not essential. We will provide full training and support to help you thrive in your role and feel confident every step of the way.
Essential Criteria
- Right to Work in the UK
- Over 2 years' experience working as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
- Desire and ability to actively contribute to a positive and solution-focused work culture
- Passion for learning and willingness to share knowledge and experience to support the progression of others and positively influence working processes
- Ability to maintain a professional and caring approach in all aspects of work
