Wear Referrals (part of Linnaeus Veterinary Limited, owned by Mars) is a multi-disciplinary, specialist veterinary referral hospital in the north east of England, close to the historic university city of Durham, the thriving city of Newcastle, and set between the north east coast and the Pennines. Our award-winning hospital provides neurology, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, anaesthesia, oncology, diagnostic imaging and cardiology, as well as a busy primary care out-of-hours emergency service and in-house physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. Facilities include on-site MRI, CT, radiology, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, videomicroscopy, in-house laboratory, electrochemotherapy, full electrodiagnostics suite, 4 operating theatres, isolation ward, and 24hr staffed ICU. We have a thriving clinical research programme with support and links within the Mars ecosystem.
Role Details
We are looking for an Advanced Practitioner, residency trained or Specialist in (small animal) Dentistry to join our multi-disciplinary team to manage referral dentistry and maxillofacial surgery cases. These may be internal referrals of patients seen by other specialties or referrals from primary care practices. You will be collaborating with and supported by an in-house team of more than 20 EBVS and RCVS Recognised Specialists to provide high-quality care. The successful candidate would have input into the design and set-up of a new dentistry suite to complement the existing facilities.

- Manage referral dentistry and maxillofacial surgery cases (internal referrals and referrals from primary care practices).
- Collaborate with an in-house team of EBVS and RCVS Recognised Specialists to provide high-quality care.
- Contribute to the design and set-up of a new dentistry suite.
