We are seeking a full time Animal Care Assistant to join our friendly team at Warren House Vets. If you are a caring and compassionate person who has excellent communication skills and a hands on approach we would like to hear from you.

The role will be centred around supporting the clinical and wider practice team to deliver the highest standards of care and to maintain an efficient and effective working environment. You will be able to work efficiently using your own initiative to provide the best support to the team.

There will be some reception work required so you will need general IT and telephone skills. As an Animal Care Assistant you will be involved in a large variety of day‑to‑day tasks including:

  • Animal handling and husbandry
  • Administrative work and stock control
  • Assisting with diagnostic techniques
  • Cleaning of public and clinical areas

The practice is open from 8am to 6.45pm Monday to Friday and there will be several shift patterns within these times. Weekend hours vary and the successful candidate will be required to join the rota for Saturday shifts between 8.45am to 4.45pm.

Previous experience of working in a veterinary practice is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
