We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Care Assistant to join our friendly and welcoming team. We are looking for a forward-thinking individual who is looking to start off their journey in the veterinary industry or someone who has experience and is looking for a new challenge. Our nursing team are searching for someone to complement the team in providing excellent client and patient service whilst being able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with patient handling and restraint, ensuring a patient-friendly approach to minimise stress and discomfort.
  • Clean, disinfect and prepare patient accommodation, maintain the hospital and its infection control, including sterilising and deep cleaning.
  • Assist with reception and client care, including answering the telephone, dealing with enquiries, booking procedures and taking payments.
  • Assist Veterinary Surgeons, Veterinary Nurses and support staff where and when required.
  • Work and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, demonstrating reliability, adaptability, empathy and understanding.
