North Downs Specialists Referrals is recruiting for a Receptionist to join their client care team in Linnaeus, Bletchingley, England.
Job Overview
The receptionist will welcome clients, manage all incoming telephone calls, and liaise with colleagues to ensure client queries are dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner.
Working Hours
Monday 2pm-7pm
Tuesday 5pm-8pm
Wednesday 10am-7pm
Thursday OFF
Friday 2pm-8pm
Approx. 1 in 8 Saturday morning 10am-2pm (23.5 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Meeting and greeting clients
- Liaising with clients regarding appointment cancellations or postponements
- Making appointments for re-exams
- Handling all telephone calls that come through to the reception line
- Ensuring telephone and email enquiries are forwarded to relevant colleagues
- Managing room bookings and troubleshooting any issues
- Handling clinicians’ letters
- Taking payment for treatment
- Following up on unpaid accounts by calling clients and taking payments
- Ensuring the reception area is kept clean and tidy, liaising with front-of-house and purchasing assistant when necessary
- Liaising with the Client Care Manager regarding any client complaints

North Downs Specialist Referrals is a large, multidisciplinary referral hospital in Surrey, with over 35 recognised specialists across numerous specialties including surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, oncology, neurology, orthopaedics, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, dentistry, dermatology, and anaesthesia. The centre is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility situated in a beautiful part of Surrey, within a 15-minute drive of many towns and villages and 30 minutes by train to central London. We are committed to supporting the physical and mental health of all our associates.
