Practice Group: Forest Veterinary Group, part of Linnaeus.
Contract: Fixed Term (12 months – maternity cover).
Hours: Full‐time, 40 hrs per week.
Salary: £28,500 per annum (dependent on experience).
About the Role
Two Fixed Term RVN opportunities have arisen due to maternity leave. The role supports the practice during the absence of two Lead Nurses and offers an excellent chance for experienced RVNs to step into enhanced responsibility and leadership exposure.
Responsibilities
- Support the hospital team in the absence of Lead Nurses.
- Take ownership of key areas such as:
- Stock and ordering
- Laboratory support
- Dentistry
- Other clinical focus areas depending on experience
About You
- A Registered Veterinary Nurse (RCVS registered).
- Ideally 1+ year qualified (strong candidates with less experience considered).
- Previous clinical coach or supervisory experience highly desirable.
- Proactive, team‐focused nurse with strong communication skills.
- Interested in gaining leadership exposure and broader responsibility.
Development & Progression
- CPD actively encouraged, including advanced qualifications.
- Funded external CPD and extensive Linnaeus in‐house CPD programmes.
- Exposure to hospital‐level nursing and specialist services.
- Opportunity to work across hospital and branch practices.
- Potential for future permanent opportunities within the group.
Working Patterns & Flexibility
- 40 hours per week.
- Flexible working patterns available: 4×10‐hour days or 5×8‐hour days.
- Rotas discussed collaboratively.
- Informal visits, phone calls, or working interviews welcomed prior to application.
