About Us
Southfields Veterinary Specialists Internal Medicine team, comprising four Medicine Specialists and dedicated Medicine Nurses, provides a comprehensive Internal Medicine service to referral patients from across the UK. We offer extensive imaging facilities (1.5T MRI, 64 slice Siemens CT, Ultrasound, Digital X-ray, Fluoroscopy) and a broad range of endoscopic equipment. The team has experience in Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Haematology and Immune Mediated Diseases.
Responsibilities
- Daily care of patients, perform consultations, diagnostic procedures and treatment under the supervision of ECVIM-CA diplomates.
- Participate in out‑of‑hours work covering the care of small animal medicine and oncology in‑patients and receiving emergencies.
- Excellent communication with referring veterinary surgeons and clients.
- Participate in and present at journal clubs, rounds and seminars.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons to practice in the United Kingdom and graduated from an institution approved by the European Association of Veterinary Education Establishments.
- Minimum of one year in primary care practice; completion of a rotating internship or equivalent desirable.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and advanced conversational English.
- Right to work in the UK and RCVS membership.
- Professional and caring approach to all aspects of work.
