Croft Veterinary Practice are looking to expand their Nursing team by recruiting for a Patient Care Assistant. In this role you have the opportunity to work alongside a supportive and friendly team while gaining experience in the veterinary industry.

Your role will include:

  • Assisting the Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Nurses
  • Covering reception occasionally
  • Animal handling
  • Helping the inpatient nurse care for the patients
  • Assisting in preparing animals for surgeries
  • Liaising with the operating team to set up in between procedures
  • Assisting in ultrasounds and much more!

This role is a career in itself, and the Patient Care Assistant role within Crofts comes with great progression. As a Patient Care Assistant, it is also a great way to get your foot in the door if looking to progress into Veterinary Nursing.

Hours of work:

  • 40-hour week
  • 1 in 4 weekends (Saturday 8am - 12pm) but with time back in lieu
  • Different shift roles to include working with the operating team, working with the inpatient team and front of house.
  • Shifts vary between 8am – 5pm and 10am -7pm
