Salary: £26,701 per annum (FTE)

Location: 608 Vets, Solihull

Job Type: Fixed-term contract until July 2027

Hours: 29.25 hours per week on average

Shifts: Mon & Tues 8am - 7pm and Thurs 8am - 5pm, plus 1:4 Saturdays 8am - 1pm

608 Vets are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate receptionist to join our friendly and forward-thinking team to provide maternity cover.

Your role and responsibilities

The role requires a caring, confident and mature approach to all aspects of veterinary practice and client care. You will be vital in maintaining the high standards expected throughout our exceptional team. You will work closely with the Client Care Manager to deliver an outstanding experience for clients and visitors. An essential aspect of this role is to maintain a positive and friendly attitude.

The role is varied and will include (but is not limited to) the following:

  • Greeting clients, and their pets, with a friendly and helpful manner
  • Diary management
  • Maintaining accurate client records in line with data protection regulations
  • Day to day administrative duties including filing, debt management and processing insurance claims
  • Communicating with clients, colleagues, and the wider business face-to-face, through email and telephone
  • Maintaining the organisation and hygiene standards of the reception areas
  • Processing payments in various forms
  • Processing repeat medication requests
