Salary: £25,038 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Weekdays Shifts 8am-4pm/11am-7pm, Saturday on a rota basis

We have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join Gower Veterinary Surgery! Receptionists are integral to creating the first impression of our practice. Clients and visitors should be welcomed in a warm, friendly, courteous and professional manner.

Applicants must be friendly and personable, with excellent communication skills. Previous experience in a customer facing role within a Veterinary Practice preferable. Growth within the role is encouraged and successful applicants will be given further training.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Welcoming and registering new customers.
  • Booking in customers and diary management.
  • Answering the telephone and dealing with a range of customer queries.
  • Managing customer expectations regarding wait time.
  • Administration duties e.g. scanning paperwork, filling in forms etc.
  • Processing prescription requests.
  • Taking payments.
  • Promoting offers and services.
  • Ensuring that public areas and consult rooms are clean and presentable.
