Wear Referrals (Linnaeus Veterinary Limited, Mars) is a multi-disciplinary, veterinary referral hospital in the North East of England, close to the historic university city of Durham and the thriving city of Newcastle. Specialist services include neurology, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, anaesthesia, oncology, and diagnostic imaging. We also offer cardiology, hydrotherapy, and dentistry services, as well as a busy primary care out-of-hours emergency service.

We encourage an evidence-based multi-disciplinary approach, supporting a process of continuous learning and a collegiate atmosphere. Clinical research is an essential part of the role, and a keen interest is encouraged and supported. The successful candidate will gain experience in all imaging modalities, with a focus on radiography and ultrasonography initially. The diagnostic imaging intern will be trained in advanced imaging (CT and MRI) image acquisition and will be part of the OOH rota alongside our existing team of radiographers. The diagnostic imaging intern will also be trained to interpret and write reports across all modalities, with all reporting being under direct supervision by an ECVDI diploma holder.
