Hours: 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Plus 1 in 4 weekends

We have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join the fantastic team at Norwood. We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate receptionist to join our friendly and forward-thinking team. You will be responsible for welcoming clients and their pets to the practice in a warm, professional manner and providing support to our friendly team. Previous experience preferred but not necessary as full training will be provided.
Roles and responsibilities include:
- Meeting and greeting clients at the front desk
- Answering phone calls to book appointments, medication requests and general enquiries
- Registering new clients and their pets
- Monitoring the admin emails
- Checking online bookings are allocated
- Recommending Pet Health for Life
- Dealing with day to day enquiries
- Liaising with the vets and nurses regarding appointments
- Debt handling
- Scanning and uploading documents
- Allocating messages/requests on the practice management system
- Keeping the reception area clean, tidy and presentable
- Stock counting/monitoring
What we’re looking for:
- Experience dealing with customers in a customer-facing role
- Strong administration and organisation skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Confident using the telephone
- Excellent IT skills – Microsoft (Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Have a passion and love for animals!
