About the role

608 Vets is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate receptionist to join our friendly and forward‑thinking team to provide maternity cover. Your role requires a caring, confident and mature approach to all aspects of veterinary practice and client care. You will work closely with the Client Care Manager to deliver an outstanding experience for clients and visitors and maintain a positive and friendly attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting clients and their pets in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Diary management
  • Maintaining accurate client records in line with data protection regulations
  • Day‑to‑day administrative duties including filing, debt management and processing insurance claims
  • Communicating with clients, colleagues and the wider business face‑to‑face, through email and telephone
  • Maintaining the organisation and hygiene standards of the reception areas
  • Processing payments in various forms
  • Processing repeat medication requests
