An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Theatre Patient Care Assistant to join our Theatre Nursing Team. This is a permanent role working 42 hours a week with a 1h lunch break.
As a Theatre PCA, you will work alongside 2 full-time Theatre RVNs, 1 part-time Theatre RVN, and 2 Theatre Techs. You will work with surgeons from soft tissue, orthopaedics, neurology, ophthalmology, cardiology, and exotics.
- Help the circulating nurse and scrub nurse in theatre.
- Help with the maintenance and preparation of sterile supplies.
- Help with stock maintenance and ordering equipment and supplies.
- Infection control monitoring.
- Work and communicate effectively between different departments and personnel.
- Provide the highest standard of care for our patients.
You would work a variety of shifts between 8am β 8pm Monday to Friday and 2:8 weekends with time in lieu the following week and a minimum of 1 bank holiday per year.
