Job Description

The ideal candidate is an ECVN/ACVIM Neurology Diplomate wishing to work full‑time or part‑time with small animals and horses, but applications from Veterinary Surgeons who have completed a residency in Veterinary Neurology will also be considered. The position becomes available in early 2026. You will work alongside a team of approximately 40 specialists in various disciplines (soft tissue, orthopaedics, anaesthesia, ophthalmology, internal medicine, emergency and critical care, oncology, cardiology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, clinical pathology and pathology), who together strive to achieve clinical excellence.

Dick White Referrals (DWR) is looking for an American or European Diplomate in Neurology to join our Neurology team, including 4 current diplomates, 2 residents, and 2 interns. Founded in 2003 by Professor Dick White, DWR has grown rapidly to become one of the largest private veterinary referral hospitals in the UK. DWR is a busy, purpose‑built specialist referral‑only small animal veterinary hospital conveniently located in Cambridgeshire between Newmarket, the home of horse racing and Cambridge, with its world‑renowned University and amenities.

Hours: Full‑time. The out‑of‑hours on‑call rota is 1:4, and when on‑call during a weekend, two additional days of time off will be given to be spent within the following two weeks.
