An exciting opportunity has opened at Blythwood Vets for an experienced and enthusiastic Client Care Assistant to join our fantastic front-of-house team! The role involves direct interaction with clients at our reception desk and encompasses all aspects of client care support.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Welcoming and registering new customers.
  • Booking in customers and making sure they receive gold standard care.
  • Answering the telephone and dealing with a range of customer queries.
  • Managing customer expectations regarding wait time.
  • Administration duties e.g. scanning paperwork, filling in forms etc.
  • Taking payments.
  • Promoting offers and services.
  • Remaining calm, courteous, and professional at all times, regardless of a client or visitor’s behaviour.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Must have experience working within the Veterinary industry.
  • Experience working with the public in person and by telephone.
  • A passion for working with the public.
  • Good telephone manner.
  • The ability to communicate well with clients and colleagues, face to face, telephone, and email.
  • PC literate with Excel and Word.
  • Negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Able to adapt and quickly use in-house computer applications and software (training will be provided).
