The Role
As a technician, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of projects by producing and developing 2D drawings and 3D Revit models for each project. You will ensure the efficient integration of BIM workflows, maintain compliance with project requirements and provide support to our installation teams.
Responsibilities
- Produce high quality 2D drawings and 3D models in line with project and company standards.
- Co-ordinate structural designs with other disciplines (Architectural/Structural) to ensure model consistency and accuracy.
- Undertake accurate Revit modelling for each project on a range of construction sectors.
- Contribute to early design co-ordination and modelling studies offering practical input to develop technical solutions, both internally and externally.
- Support our installation teams with the preparation of design documentation, technical reports and structural calculations.
- Manage all relevant project documentation, including model compliance, internal & external project reviews and document control.
- Support ongoing development of BIM processes and modelling methods.
About You
- Significant professional experience as an Architectural Technician within the construction environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCad, Revit with familiarity of BIM workflows and standards.
- Working knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards and current Technical Standards.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with Architects, Structural Engineers, Clients and wider Design Teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
