At Linn, we thrive on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Due to our continued success, we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our dynamic Sales team and help develop our network of independent specialist retailers.

As a Business Development Manager, you’d be out in the market, building relationships, helping existing retailers grow their Linn business and finding great new partners to join our network. You need to be open-minded, hard-working and passionate about music to succeed in this role; however, there is no need to fit a particular sales mould or have experience in the hi-fi industry: if you're enthusiastic, curious, enjoy learning and thrive in a demanding role, we'd love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

  • Build great partnerships: Really get to know your retailers. Ask smart questions, understand what matters to them and work together on plans that create value for their business and Linn.
  • Turn plans into results: Work with retailers on meaningful sales activity, maintain momentum and follow things through. Ultimately, this is a commercial role and you'll be responsible for delivering sustainable sales growth.
  • Grow and protect the network: Find and onboard great new retailers, help them build a successful Linn business and think ahead about succession and regional coverage.
  • Use the data: Use sales and market data to spot opportunities, challenge assumptions and decide where your time and effort will make the biggest difference.
  • Work as a team: Work closely with the wider Business Development team, sharing ideas, challenges and successes and contributing to Linn's wider sales strategy.
  • Travel: Regular UK travel to the Linn factory and your retail partners is an important part of the job, with the potential for travel further afield in future too.

Who We’re Looking For

Our Business Development Managers require strong people skills and a commercial mindset, with a keen interest in understanding what makes a retailer’s business tick. Enjoying creative problem-solving, you’d need to be capable of handling pushback constructively and finding a way forward. Additionally, you follow through on what you say you’ll do.

To Apply

Complete the application form and email a two-minute video of you presenting to recruitment@linn.co.uk — it can be about absolutely anything, from your favourite hobby to a random household object – be as creative as you like – but most importantly be engaging and show us your energy!
