Known for high-quality engineered equipment and exceptional after-sales support, this organisation is now seeking a skilled Service Engineer to support customers across Yorkshire East.
Responsibilities
- As a Field Service Engineer, work independently on customer sites, delivering expert service, maintenance, and fault-finding support on industrial steam boiler systems, combustion equipment, and associated controls.
- Be a key ambassador for the business, ensuring customers receive professional, reliable, and technically strong support.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance on industrial steam boilers and combustion systems.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on combustion equipment, electrical controls, and related systems.
- Support customers with steam applications and distribution issues.
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately and promptly.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, corrective actions, and recommendations.
- Work safely at all times, following company and site procedures.
- Liaise with internal teams to support parts identification, technical queries, and job planning.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong electromechanical skillset with confident fault-finding ability.
- Proven experience working with combustion equipment.
- Relevant industrial or commercial gas qualification.
- Completed apprenticeship or formal engineering qualification.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently with a flexible, customer-focused approach.
Desirable
- Experience with electronic burner management control systems (advantageous but not essential).
