Known for high-quality engineered equipment and exceptional after-sales support, this organisation is now seeking a skilled Service Engineer to support customers across Yorkshire East.

Responsibilities

  • As a Field Service Engineer, work independently on customer sites, delivering expert service, maintenance, and fault-finding support on industrial steam boiler systems, combustion equipment, and associated controls.
  • Be a key ambassador for the business, ensuring customers receive professional, reliable, and technically strong support.
  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance on industrial steam boilers and combustion systems.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on combustion equipment, electrical controls, and related systems.
  • Support customers with steam applications and distribution issues.
  • Complete service reports and documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, corrective actions, and recommendations.
  • Work safely at all times, following company and site procedures.
  • Liaise with internal teams to support parts identification, technical queries, and job planning.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong electromechanical skillset with confident fault-finding ability.
  • Proven experience working with combustion equipment.
  • Relevant industrial or commercial gas qualification.
  • Completed apprenticeship or formal engineering qualification.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently with a flexible, customer-focused approach.

Desirable

  • Experience with electronic burner management control systems (advantageous but not essential).
