This role is available for qualified nurses only. We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Health & Social Care Trainer to join the team at Maria Mallaband Care Group. Working closely with the Learning & Development Team across our National portfolio of homes, reporting to our Group Head of Learning & Organisational Development you will collaborate with functions across the business to support the creation, delivery and evaluation of effective L&D programmes. This role requires working some weekends and evenings to ensure all colleagues have appropriate access to learning outside of usual Monday‑Friday business hours.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop training programmes and materials, suited to the needs of resident population, both clinical and non‑clinical.
- Facilitate engaging and interactive sessions, workshops and webinars on various topics, such as venipuncture, catheterisation, wound care, medication management and more.
- Promote, encourage and champion high‑quality care delivery through engaging learning and coaching sessions.
- Work in conjunction with the Quality and Operations team to be proactive in reducing risk to residents and the wider business.
- Support houses that are a business focus through service improvement plans and training plans, analysing clinical needs.
- Promote and facilitate regular supervision, including peer‑to‑peer reviews and reflective practice.
About You
- A professional and experienced Registered Nurse or Nurse Associate with a valid PIN.
- Extensive experience in the Health & Social Care sector.
- Extensive experience in training delivery.
- Good understanding of care‑home operations – including the role of a registered manager.
- Experience in creating and analysing training needs analysis.
- A full, valid driving licence is essential.
