Our client based in Stoke are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for their manufacturing plant. In this role, you will be an integral part of a maintenance team responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency of facilities and machinery that include manufacturing, galvanising, and powder coating operations. Your main aim will be to carry out general maintenance and repairs to keep equipment running optimally and to maintain safety standards across the site, including office and canteen areas.

The working hours will be 7.30am to 4.15pm Monday to Thursday, and 6.00am to 1.30pm Friday.

Duties:
  • Maintain operational availability of all site equipment to maximize uptime.
  • Perform general maintenance and repair on machines, equipment, and facilities.
  • Ensure safe working practices comply with current legislation.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Handle repairs to buildings and facilities as needed.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Conduct electrical repairs and installations based on your qualifications.
  • Move towards a proactive preventative maintenance approach.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records and paperwork.
  • Mentor apprentices as needed.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota, once competent.
Experience required:
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in engineering is essential, along with previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, galvanising, and powder coating machinery is a plus.
  • A minimum of 12 months experience in a Maintenance Engineer or Technician role.
