Linkster Recruitment is excited to announce an opening for the position of FLT Counterbalance Driver/Production Operative with our client, a pioneering company that has developed a strong presence in the FMCG industry over the past decade. As the company continues to experience growth and invest in its operations, they are looking to expand their team of Line Machine Operators. This role comes with an attractive salary equivalent of £39,950 per annum, along with the potential for additional earnings.

Main duties are as follows:

  • Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently, with a balanced focus on production line and forklift operations (80/20 production/FLT split).
  • Conduct bottling processes in line with company hygiene standards.
  • Supply all line equipment with the necessary materials.
  • Participate in any required equipment changes on the production line.
  • Identify and resolve basic operational faults.
  • Conduct visual quality inspections during production.

Additional details:

  • Shift Pattern: The role requires working 12-hour shifts (0500-1700 / 1700-0500) on a rotating 3 on, 3 off basis. You must be able to work day and night shifts.
  • Duration: This is a temporary ongoing role for up to 12 weeks, with the potential for a temp-to-perm transition into the core team.
  • Environment: Modern, state-of-the-art factory.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a Counterbalance certificate refreshed within the last 3 years.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary with the potential of earning up to £50,000 per annum including overtime and bonus payments.
  • Additional pay for weekends and extra shifts, with rates of £20.67 (Days) and £23.43 (Nights) on Saturdays, as well as £27.56 (Days) and £30.32 (Nights) on Sundays.
  • A production bonus of £500 is awarded at six-month intervals.
  • Paid breaks during shifts.
  • Overtime opportunities available.
