Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30am–4:30pm (4 start patterns available: 6:00am, 6:30am, 7:00am, 7:30am)
  • Friday: 7:30am–12:30pm (4 start patterns available: 6:00am, 6:30am, 7:00am, 7:30am)

Salary: £29,811 per annum (£14.70 per hour)

Contract: Permanent role

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Deburrer to join our client’s manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and experience with various tooling techniques. As a Deburrer, you will help ensure products meet the highest quality standards by removing burrs and imperfections from machined parts. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality work by adhering to specified standards and tolerances
  • Polish and deburr metal parts as required
  • Deburr external and internal surfaces and edges
  • Create internal cross-drilled threads and perform tapping to depth
  • Mark parts, polish, file, finish, and assemble as required
  • Use final part marking tooling and hand tools to match customer drawings
  • Inspect with tools such as shadowgraphs, verniers, and other handheld equipment
  • Maintain positive working relationships to promote effective teamwork

Qualifications

  • Experience in a machine shop environment with a strong eye for detail and product quality
  • Proven track record as a deburrer in aerospace/defence or a similar industry
  • Proficient with pillar drills, manual lathes, drilling fixtures, deburring hand tools and equipment
  • Ability to use a wide range of measuring equipment
  • Experience with power tools, used safely and effectively
