Main Duties:

  • Producing parts while making necessary adjustments to tooling and wear offsets to ensure efficient machine operation.
  • Conducting inspections using CMM programs while utilizing gauges, verniers, micrometers, and height gauges.
  • Maintaining clean workstations and producing high-quality work that aligns with agreed specifications.
  • Encouraging teamwork and fostering positive relationships with colleagues.

Experience Required:

  • Knowledge of tool changes and inputting length/radius measurements.
  • Understanding of CMM report terminology and visual inspection.
  • Proficiency in using basic measuring equipment effectively.
  • Ability to adjust offsets to keep jobs running smoothly.
  • Competence in interpreting drawings and understanding measurement specifications.
  • Insight into which tools are effective for specific tasks.

Shift Patterns:

  • Permanent Days: 4 fixed shift patterns (not rotating) depending on department (39-hour week)
  • Monday - Thursday, 06:00 - 15:00, and Friday 06:00 - 11:00
  • Monday - Thursday, 06:30 - 15:30, and Friday 06:30 - 11:30
  • Monday - Thursday, 07:00 - 16:00, and Friday 07:00 - 12:00
  • Monday - Thursday, 07:30 - 16:30, and Friday 07:30 - 12:30
  • Permanent Nights: Monday - Thursday, 18:00 – 06:00 (48-hour week)

Benefits:

  • Starting salary of £14.00 per hour, increasing up to £17.00 per hour once fully trained. Night shift attracts an additional shift allowance of £2.00 per hour.
  • Annual salary range: £28,392- £34,476 for days; £39,936- £47,424 for nights.
  • Overtime opportunities available, paid at a rate of 1.33x.
  • Options for temporary-to-permanent or permanent full-time positions, depending on the candidate.
