We are looking to recruit a Quality, Health & Safety Manager to join the team. The Quality, Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for compliance and delivery of quality and health and safety across the site. The successful candidate will have experience of a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
The role:
- To lead and maintain compliance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and legislation across the site
- Responsible for the attainment and compliance of relevant Quality and Health and safety accreditations such as ISO 9001 etc.
- Completing and documenting internal risk assessments
- To be responsible for accident and incident investigations and causes
- Carry out internal Health and Safety and Quality internal audits and action any identified outstanding points
- Responsible for maintaining and delivering the companies Quality Management system
- Understanding customer specific needs and requirements to develop effective quality control in the manufacturing processes
- Liaise with customers on any quality related issues
- Liaise with external service providers on quality related issues such as suppliers, contractors etc.
- Produce and monitor effectiveness of internal quality documentation
- To provide training and guidance to colleagues in order to achieve the objectives set out by the Quality, Health and Safety manager
- To identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to improve efficiency and introduce new policies and procedures where required
- To integrate within a small team and drive for continuous improvement whilst maintaining a proactive and productive ethos
The Person:
- Experience in a Quality and Health and Safety Role
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Up to date knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 standard
- Knowledge of the ISO 14001 standard is desirable
- NEBOSH qualified
- Familiarity with COSHH and hazardous material control
- Experience of being customer facing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Conscientious and a keen eye for detail
