HGV 1 Driver

We are looking for Class 1 day drivers to work 4 on 4 off.Main Job ObjectiveAs a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight to UK wide airports and client's locations. This is a great opportunity for individuals with commercial driving experience who enjoy being on the road and working independently.Job ResponsibilitiesDelivery and collection of Air freight to UK wide AirportsSafely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materialsLoad and unload cargo as neededPlan routes and ensure timely delivery of goodsAdhere to all tachograph laws, traffic laws and regulationsConduct daily walkaround checksMaintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usageRequirementsValid Class 1 (C+E) license with clean driving record (Min 2 years' experience)Minimum of 2 years' experience of driving LGV vehiclesPrevious experience working within the cargo aviation industry is an advantage but not essentialAbility to work to deadlinesHave a good geographical knowledge of UK roadsHave a positive attitude and be of smart appearanceFull 5-year work history with no more than 28 days gapCargo Operative Aviation certificate is also required but if you do not have one, we will provide training.CRBValid DCPCValid Digi Tacho CardNo more than 6 points (No IN or DR accepted)Experience with roller bed, Fridge and curtain sider trailers is preferredExcellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlinesStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionIn return we offerPay rate £19.00 per hourNight out pays £25.00 non taxableTemp to Perm positionShift Patten 4 on 4 offBasic hours of work 37.5Days and Nights availableMust be prepared to do nights outIf you are interested in this role and would like to apply, please hit the apply button.Links Recruitment Ltd is acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancyTPBN1_UKTJ
