Links Recruitment Group are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a large food manufacturing client, who has an established operation based in Gwent. Our client is rapidly expanding and are now seeking an experienced Multiskilled Engineer (Electrical bias) to join their growing Engineering team.

The Role:

  • Installation of machinery as required
  • Adjust machinery speed as required for production
  • Carry out regular preventative maintenance on fixed plant and equipment as required and instructed in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Carry out any emergency maintenance required to ensure that when breakdown situations do occur disruption is minimised.
  • Assist in departmental maintenance as required and instructed.
  • Advise Maintenance Manager daily of work carried out for records to be maintained.
  • Ensure general housekeeping of the workshop and other areas of work is maintained.
  • Any support as requested within areas of expertise and capability.
  • Work at all site locations when required.

Electrical Maintenance Technician Requirements:

  • Experience of Bakery machines would be a Key advantage.
  • Experience gained working in a FMCG company.
  • Experience working both within a Maintenance team and on shift as the only Technician covering the process/site.
  • Good Mechanical Electrical Fault finding will be essential for this role.
  • Experience working on Pneumatics Hydraulics and PLC controllers will be a key advantage.
  • C&G level 3 Electrical Engineering with 17th addition and good mechanical aptitude and skills.

Additional Information:

  • Hours of work – 40 hrs per week
  • Mon- Fri – shift times are flexible
  • 20 day hols + 8 Bank Holidays (this increases with service)
  • 6 Month probationary period
  • Reporting to Engineering Manager
  • Auto Enrolment Pension Scheme after 12 weeks

Requirements:

  • Evidence of good problem solving, decision making.
  • Competent testing and traceability skills.
  • The ability to complete administrative work.
