The Role:
To support our orthodontists in delivering high-quality orthodontic care by providing a range of clinical procedures within their scope of practice. The orthodontic therapist will work under prescription and in accordance with General Dental Council (GDC) guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Placing and removing fixed and removable appliances
- Taking impressions, photographs, radiographs, and clinical records
- Changing archwires, brackets, bands, and elastics
- Providing oral hygiene instructions and care guidance
- Accurately recording treatment provided and patient progress
- Communicating clearly and professionally with patients, parents, and the wider dental team
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records
- Identifying and escalating any patient concerns or treatment complications to the supervising orthodontist
Essential Requirements:
- Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) as an Orthodontic Therapist
- National Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy or equivalent approved qualification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently under the supervision of an orthodontist
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and patient safety

Pay: £25.00-£30.00 per hour
