Overview We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our temporaries recruitment team.
This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in recruitment by supporting clients with their temporary staffing needs and helping candidates find suitable short-term opportunities.
You will work in a fast-paced environment where excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills are essential.
No previous recruitment experience needed, just excellent attention to detail and a great personality!
Key Responsibilities
- Source, screen, and interview candidates for temporary positions.
- Build and maintain a database of qualified temporary workers.
- Match candidates to client vacancies based on skills, availability, and experience.
- Advertise vacancies across job boards and social media platforms.
- Conduct candidate compliance checks, including right-to-work verification and reference checks.
- Coordinate candidate bookings, placements, and onboarding.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with both clients and candidates.
- Respond to client requests for temporary staff, often at short notice.
- Monitor candidate availability and manage weekly shift bookings.
- Handle timesheets, payroll queries, and placement administration.
- Ensure excellent customer service throughout the recruitment process.
- Work towards individual and team targets and key performance indicators (KPIs). Skills & Experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and recruitment databases or CRM systems.
- Customer service or sales experience is desirable but not essential.
