Role overview We are seeking an experienced Paralegal/Support Lawyer to join our Funds practice.

This role will provide comprehensive support across a broad range of fund formation, fund raising and investment management matters, working closely with partners, associates, clients and external stakeholders to ensure matters progress efficiently and to the highest standard.

The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with the ability to influence, coordinate and build strong relationships across multiple stakeholder groups, helping to drive complex funds matters forward and ensuring key deliverables are met.

Given the global nature of the practice and the need to support US-based teams and clients, this role may require regular working hours aligned to the New York market, typically 2:00pm to 10:00pm UK time.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the coordination and execution of fund formation, fund closing and investment management matters, acting as a central point of contact between clients, lawyers, counterparties, investors, external advisers and other stakeholders.
  • Proactively manage matter workstreams, monitor progress against key milestones and coordinate stakeholders to ensure deadlines and deliverables are achieved.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients and internal teams, facilitating collaboration and helping to resolve issues that may impact timelines.
  • Prepare, review and manage funds-related documentation, including subscription documents, investor materials, closing documentation and ancillary fund documents, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Coordinate and support due diligence processes, organise findings and assist with the preparation of reports, summaries and client deliverables.
  • Track closing deliverables, investor documentation requirements and post-closing actions, ensuring all matters are progressed efficiently and completed on time.
  • Provide clear and timely updates to stakeholders regarding matter status, risks, dependencies and next steps.
  • Assist with know-how, precedent management and other practice support initiatives as required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, efficiency and service delivery.
  • Candidate requirements
  • At least two years' experience as a Paralegal or Support Lawyer within a leading law firm or in-house legal team, supporting funds, private equity, asset management or other transactional legal matters.
  • Strong understanding of fund formation, investment funds structures, legal documentation and matter management processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage, challenge and drive outcomes across a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple workstreams and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally.
  • Highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceptional client service.
  • Able to work independently, exercise sound judgement and take ownership of complex tasks from initiation through to completion.
  • Flexibility to work New York-aligned hours when required, typically 2:00pm to 10:00pm UK time.

Therefore, upon acceptance of a temporary role at Linklaters, you will be engaged under a contract for services through our preferred third-party provider.
