We are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence and Planning Senior Advisor to join our Communications & Corporate Affairs (C&CA) function in London. This is a key role for someone who is passionate about using data, insight and planning discipline to drive operational excellence in a global, high-performing environment. You will play a central part in embedding operational rigour, improving processes and delivering robust planning and analysis that supports strategic decision making. Working collaboratively across teams and levels, you will help ensure the function remains agile, aligned and equipped to meet evolving business needs.
Your main responsibilities:
- Collect, analyse and interpret data on operational performance, resource usage, team productivity and business initiatives across the C&CA function.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and visualisations to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and support regular business reviews.
- Provide both ad hoc and scheduled analysis to inform resource allocation, process optimisation and strategic planning cycles.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for team leads, senior management and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues to define metrics, measurement standards and data gathering processes aligned with best practice.
- Identify data trends, outliers and opportunities for efficiency or improvement, and proactively share findings with the Operational Excellence and Planning Lead and relevant colleagues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through robust evidence, benchmarking and scenario analysis.
- Help ensure data integrity and consistency across systems, working closely with IT and other internal teams to resolve issues.
- Research and share relevant external benchmarks and industry trends to contextualise performance and inform planning.
- Champion a data-literate, insights‑driven culture across the C&CA team, providing informal guidance or training where needed.
We are ideally looking for:
- Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, operational reporting and project management within a corporate or professional services environment.
- Strong familiarity with analytics tools (for example, Power BI, Tableau or similar), enterprise reporting systems and advanced spreadsheet skills.
- Experience designing and developing performance dashboards, interpreting KPIs and delivering actionable business insights.
- A track record of supporting decision making and operational improvement through data‑driven recommendations.
- Experience working with stakeholders at different organisational levels and managing multiple concurrent requests in a dynamic team environment.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings in accessible formats for non‑technical audiences.
- High levels of organisation, dependability and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- A collaborative and adaptable style, able to build positive relationships across teams and levels.
- A commitment to continuous learning and to driving operational excellence through data.
