Re:link, Linklaters' platform for contract lawyers, is actively recruiting lawyers specialising in human rights law. We are seeking a skilled human rights lawyer to work on a part-time basis. You will be a qualified solicitor or barrister with demonstrable experience in human rights, public law or related fields. We welcome applications from professionals at all career stages who have relevant expertise.
About the role:
- Advise clients on a broad range of human rights issues, including public law challenges, discrimination, asylum and immigration, and civil liberties matters.
- Draft legal opinions, pre-action correspondence, witness statements and applications to domestic courts and, where appropriate, international or regional human rights bodies.
- Conduct legal research and develop strategic litigation to advance and protect fundamental rights.
- Liaise with clients, NGOs, counsel, and other stakeholders with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Contribute to policy work, consultations, and training or awareness-raising activities.
Experience in judicial review, strategic litigation, or working with non-profit organisations or international bodies would be an advantage but is not essential. This is a part-time role, with flexible working arrangements to be agreed. We are interested in hearing from candidates with strong experience gained in private practice or in-house roles.
Our consultants are required to have the right to reside and work in the UK, as we are not able to sponsor visas.
