As Corporate Tax Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Partnership & Corporate Tax, senior finance leaders and stakeholders across the firm to ensure Linklaters continues to meet its complex global tax obligations while supporting business change and growth. - Supporting tax planning activity associated with business change and transformation.
- Managing elements of the firm's international tax reporting, including Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) and EU Public CbCR.
- Overseeing transfer pricing documentation and supporting new international reporting requirements.
- Coordinating with external advisers globally to ensure timely completion of partner and entity tax returns.
- Supporting responses to tax authority enquiries across multiple jurisdictions.
- Producing the firm's Total Tax Contribution reporting for inclusion in the Sustainability Report.
- Completing corporate tax disclosures within statutory financial statements.
- Developing and strengthening tax processes, controls and risk management frameworks.
- Coaching and supporting junior members of the tax team, helping to build capability and share expertise.
You'll join a collaborative, high-performing Finance team that plays a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making across one of the world's leading law firms. Working in a global environment, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects while building strong relationships with colleagues across the business.
What we're looking for: We're seeking a technically strong and commercially minded tax professional who enjoys solving complex challenges, building relationships and taking ownership of key deliverables. You'll bring significant practical tax experience and the confidence to operate within a sophisticated international organisation, balancing technical excellence with a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.
You’ll ideally have:
- Around 10+ years' practical tax experience within a large corporate, professional services firm or accountancy practice.
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing UK corporate tax computations.
- A solid understanding of international tax principles and reporting requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with complex financial models and large datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to a range of stakeholders.
- Experience managing competing priorities and delivering to tight deadlines.
- The ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and take a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A calm, organised and detail-oriented working style.
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for supporting and developing others.
- ACA, ACCA or CTA qualifications would be advantageous, although they are not essential.
