Your role:

  • Engage in Business Analysis across the full project lifecycle or with Agile delivery teams covering problem statement definition, requirements management, process mapping, business change analysis, operating model design, data and financial analysis and running UATs.
  • Work collaboratively to understand and define scope / objectives / benefits of new projects / programmes and agree BA deliverables along with timeframe for delivery.
  • Run workshops with diverse stakeholder groups, in person, virtually or a hybrid format.
  • Elicit requirements within Waterfall or Agile methodologies and document functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Support any third party selection processes by providing the business requirements.
  • Run / support UAT by producing UAT scripts, running UAT sessions and capturing feedback.
  • Support the Testing team; provide acceptance criteria, review test scripts and system testing and close out any questions raised.
  • Support the Training team to produce any necessary materials for project rollout to end users.
  • Take an active role with project and programme team members to identify risks and issues and suitable mitigations or solutions to rectify them.
  • Perform analysis using the most appropriate format for the project and project stage.
  • Support the BA team manager in the effective execution of their role, including, as examples, best practice definition, peer reviews, knowledge sharing and acting as an ambassador for the Business Analyst team.
  • Promote the value of Business Analysis across the firm and why the role is pivotal to the successful outcome of a project / initiative.
  • Manage complex and challenging stakeholders to successful outcomes.
  • Potential to act as a Scrum Master for a product team as part of your role, facilitating Agile ceremonies to drive product delivery and improvement. Training to be provided.

About you:

  • Good understanding of Business Analysis tools and techniques across the full project lifecycle.
  • Experience working across medium to large sized projects and programmes.
  • Proven experience of working with a wide range of business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates a degree of technical knowledge to be able to interface with technical teams confidently, understanding key concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently communicate with the business at all levels of seniority in their language and translate these conversations to technology teams (and vice versa).
  • Experience of a wide variety of business analysis industry knowledge, methods and tools, including Azure DevOps, Mural, Visio, Tableau, Power BI, Behaviour Driven Development (BDD), Business Process Modelling Notation, Waterfall and Agile Delivery, UAT test scripts, Workshops and RFPs.
  • Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and the ability to build relationships with team members and stakeholders across the business.
  • Ability to define plans, provide direction and technical leadership on projects across all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring best practice is suitably applied or seeking support from BA manager as required to complete these activities.
  • Comfortable and adept at dealing with ambiguity, conflicting priorities, complex and technical information with an ability to flex style as needed to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to operate independently with sound judgement as to when to involve BA manager / others or to escalate.
  • Able to understand impact of project decisions, from a position of detailed understanding of corporate strategy and objectives.
  • Works well with others and collaborates across teams building long lasting relationships.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively and work under pressure.
  • A good listener but also asks probing questions to fully understand what’s needed.
