This is a fantastic opportunity to join Linklaters’ high-performing Business Development & Marketing team as a BD Advisor supporting our Energy & Infrastructure practice on an 18‑month FTC. You’ll play a key role in helping drive growth in one of the firm’s most dynamic and strategically important sectors, working closely with lawyers and BD colleagues across our global network. The role offers real exposure to sector strategy, client development and high-value opportunities, giving you the chance to make a tangible impact from day one.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the delivery of BD and client growth strategies across Energy & Infrastructure
  • Work on major pitches, panel submissions and win strategies, helping secure high-profile mandates
  • Use data-led insights and market intelligence to identify opportunities and inform decision-making
  • Collaborate across global teams and practice areas to drive cross-selling and integrated campaigns
  • Contribute to client initiatives, events and go-to-market activity
  • Help shape and maintain high-quality BD materials, credentials and sector insights

You’ll be part of a globally connected, collaborative BDM function, known for its strong team culture, innovation and focus on delivering commercial impact.

We’re looking for someone who is commercially minded, collaborative and motivated to build their BD career in a fast-paced, international environment. You’ll bring:

  • Experience in business development within a professional services environment (legal experience advantageous)
  • Exposure to BD strategy, client development or sector-focused initiatives
  • Experience contributing to pitches, proposals or complex client opportunities
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret data and spot opportunities
  • Confidence working with multiple stakeholders across teams and geographies
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

It would also be a plus if you:

  • Have an interest in or exposure to the Energy & Infrastructure sector
  • Are comfortable using CRM systems, marketing technology or BD data tools
  • Enjoy working in a highly collaborative, fast-moving environment
