We are looking for a Pricing Manager to play a key role in expanding the firm’s pricing capability for complex legal matters, including those supported by technology and AI-assisted delivery. As a trusted adviser to partners and senior stakeholders, you will lead the development and implementation of innovative pricing strategies for high-value, multi-jurisdictional work. As part of the global pricing team, you will drive the analysis and governance of commercial proposals while embedding advanced pricing tools, best practice and GenAI-enabled approaches across the firm. You will also leverage a deep understanding of the firm’s services and evolving delivery models to shape forward-thinking, value-driven pricing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a senior member of the global pricing team, demonstrating accountability, driving continuous improvement, and supporting colleagues to deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Partner with Senior Pricing Managers and senior stakeholders to evolve the firm’s commercial strategy, considering market trends, technological developments and competitive dynamics.
  • Lead and support the development of complex, high-value matter proposals, including those involving technology and GenAI-assisted delivery.
  • Advise partners and matter teams on pricing strategies, including financial modelling, scenario analysis, fee structuring and negotiation planning, acting as an escalation point for complex challenges.
  • Identify opportunities for standardisation by developing best-practice approaches, commercial models and playbooks to improve efficiency and consistency across the team.
  • Develop and utilise both standard tools and bespoke models to assess margins and recommend optimal fee arrangements, including AFAs, value-based pricing and hybrid structures.
  • Collaborate closely with pricing, LPMs and legal teams to manage AFAs within financial systems, driving improvements to processes and advocating for enhanced system capability.
  • Identify training needs and deliver structured development initiatives to strengthen pricing capability across stakeholders, while building a deep understanding of the firm’s services and evolving delivery models.

Qualifications

  • Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of complex pricing strategies, financial modelling and a broad range of B2B fee structures.
  • Proven ability to influence and build credibility with partners and senior stakeholders, demonstrating gravitas, sound judgement and the confidence to provide constructive challenge and commercially driven advice.
  • Highly proactive and self‑motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability, able to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outputs within tight deadlines.
  • Experience within legal operations, pricing, legal project management or a client-side legal function, with an understanding of how legal services are delivered and how delivery models are evolving, including through technology and GenAI.
  • A team-oriented and flexible mindset, committed to knowledge sharing, continuous improvement and developing both personal expertise and wider pricing capability across the firm.
