This role is based at the Linklaters London office with a hybrid working model available.
About you
- Advanced understanding of Business Analysis tools and techniques across the full delivery lifecycle and mentors others in the team.
- Experience working on large and complex projects, programmes and products spanning multiple geographical locations, ideally including data, analytics, AI, automation or digital product delivery.
- Proven experience of working with a wide range of business stakeholders including lawyers, Partners or heads of function.
- Technical knowledge to interface confidently with delivery teams, architects, data engineers, data analysts and data scientists.
With an understanding of some key data concepts such as structured and unstructured data, data visualisation, data taxonomy, data lineage, ETL, technical data requirements, data pipelines, data quality, metadata, data governance and enterprise platform data management.
- Experience working in Agile product teams, including discovery, backlog management, backlog refinement, sprint planning, showcases, retrospectives and close collaboration with product owners to translate business needs into epics, features and user stories..
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently communicate with the business at all levels of seniority in their language and translate these conversations to technology teams and vice versa.
- Significant experience of a wide variety of business analysis industry knowledge, methods and tools, including Azure Dev Ops, Mural, Visio, Tableau, Power BI, Behaviour Driven Development (BDD), Business Process Modelling Notation, Waterfall and Agile Delivery, UAT test scripts, Workshops and RFPs.
- Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and the ability to build strong relationships with team members and senior stakeholders across the business.
- Comfortable and adept at dealing with ambiguity, conflicting priorities, complex and technical information with an ability to flex style as needed to communicate clearly and concisely.

Your role
- Engage in Business Analysis to the highest standards across the full project and product lifecycle covering problem statement definition, discovery, requirements management, process mapping, business change analysis, data analysis and running UATs.
- Work collaboratively with product owners, project and programme managers, delivery teams, architects, data engineers, data scientists, lawyers, Business Teams and other stakeholders to understand and define scope, objectives, benefits and BA deliverables, together with the timeframe for delivery.
- Lead requirements discovery and technical backlog management in partnership with product owners, translating business needs into clear epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria and requirements traceability in Azure Dev Ops.
- Run large and complex workshops with diverse stakeholder groups, in person, virtually or a hybrid format.
- Elicit requirements within Agile or Waterfall methodologies and translate business outcomes into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
- Bring a practical understanding of data to discussions, including the ability to speak confidently with data engineers, data scientists and analytics teams.
- Support any third party selection processes by providing the business requirements.
- Run / support UAT by producing UAT scripts, running UAT sessions and capturing feedback.
- Support the Testing team; provide acceptance criteria, review test scripts and system testing and close out any questions raised.
- Support the training team to produce any necessary materials for project rollout to end users.
- Take an active role with product, project and programme team members to identify risks and issues and suitable mitigations or solutions to rectify them.
- Promote the value of Business Analysis across the firm and why the role is pivotal to the successful outcome for products or projects.
- Manage complex and challenging stakeholders to successful outcomes.
- Advocate and conduct knowledge sharing across the BA team with mentoring opportunities available. Demo analysis tools and techniques in BA team meetings.
