- Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

LRL is seeking experienced Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join the engineering team in Liverpool.
The successful candidate will cover ad‑hoc shifts, ensuring production runs smoothly in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while driving continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance, routine servicing, and reactive repair work on all plant and equipment within the bakery.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
- Prepare accurate written reports on maintenance work and highlight future requirements.
- Plan and implement continuous improvement ideas to increase plant throughput and efficiency.
- Ensure timely resolution of engineering issues in line with production schedules.
- Work in compliance with site health, safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all times.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required
- Minimum of 2 years proven experience as a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer.
- Completed a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
- ONC / NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 (or equivalent qualifications).
- Experience working with PLC‑controlled process equipment and plant.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous engineering experience within a manufacturing business.
- BTEC Diploma in a relevant engineering subject.
- Strong competence on production machinery and auxiliary equipment.
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
- Experience of continuous improvement projects.
- Basic Food Hygiene certification.
- Ability to self‑manage, prioritise workload, and meet agreed deadlines.
