This is a hands-on leadership role within a busy engineering and manufacturing environment, with a clear need for someone who brings an electrical background alongside strong team leadership.

You will be responsible for keeping production moving - making sure work is delivered safely, on time, and to the expected standard. It is a shop-floor position, not desk-based, and you will be expected to stay close to the detail while leading from the front.

The role centres around managing a team involved in complex builds and modifications, where electrical work is a key part of the process. You will need to understand what good looks like from an electrical perspective, support problem-solving on the shop floor, and ensure work is completed to the right standard first time.

Day to day, you will be organising workloads, running structured performance reviews, and dealing with issues as they arise - whether that is delays, quality concerns, or technical challenges. You will also be responsible for maintaining standards across safety, housekeeping, and overall workshop performance.

We are looking for someone who has experience leading people in a manufacturing, engineering, or vehicle build environment, and who also has a solid grounding in electrical systems. That could be through previous hands-on experience, qualifications, or time spent working closely with electrical teams.

You will need to be comfortable working at pace, making decisions, and holding people accountable. A strong understanding of health and safety is essential, along with the confidence to step in and support where needed.

Experience in automotive, specialist vehicles, or complex assembly environments would be particularly relevant. Exposure to lean practices or structured production environments would also be useful.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being close to the operation, understands the technical side of the work, and wants to take real ownership of team performance. There is scope to develop into more senior leadership roles over time.
