LRL are currently recruiting two experienced Coded Welders for an industrial project in Blyth, starting Monday 12th January 2026. This is a medium-term contract working on a structural installation within a heavy industrial environment.
Scope of Work
The role will involve modification and installation work on a carousel structure, including:
- Cutting through 64 beam webs
- Welding 64 x tube sockets (16mm wall thickness, approx. 390mm length)
- Installing sockets to accommodate an additional 64 posts
Weld details (to be confirmed) are expected to include:
- 6mm vertical single fillet welds to socket tube OD and beam web
- Top and bottom welds of socket OD to:
- 6mm steel table (top)
- Beam web (bottom)
All welding must meet structural calculation requirements, therefore valid and relevant welder codings are essential.
Working Pattern
Monday - Friday
07:30 - 16:30 on site
Essential Requirements
- Valid CSCS or CCNSG card
- Coded welder certification suitable for the specified welds
- Proven experience working on heavy industrial sites, such as:
- Dockyards
- Power stations
- Refineries
- Steelworks
