Linking Lives UK is at the fore of work tackling loneliness and isolation across the UK. We are looking for a passionate and skilled volunteer fundraiser/bid writer to help us grow our impact. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible difference. What difference will you make? Every bid you write could change a life — turning loneliness into lasting friendship. By helping us secure funding, this role will directly increase our ability to tackle loneliness and social isolation across the UK. Every successful application will enable new befriending projects to launch, more volunteers to be trained, and more isolated people to find companionship and hope. Your contribution will make a tangible difference to hundreds of lives — ensuring that older people, carers, and others who feel forgotten are given the chance to reconnect, belong, and flourish in their communities.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Experience of fundraising, grant writing, or persuasive writing (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to work independently, with good attention to detail.
  • A heart for community and a belief in the importance of tackling loneliness.

What will you be doing?

  • Research and identify potential grant and funding opportunities.
  • Write compelling funding applications.
  • Work with our National Director and small team to showcase our impact and strategy.
