We're currently seeking an experienced ServiceNow ITOM Developer to join a growing ServiceNow team delivering enterprise-scale solutions within secure environments. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex programmes where you'll play a key role in enhancing visibility, improving service operations, and ensuring the integrity of critical technology data. Working alongside architects, consultants, and client stakeholders, you'll help design and develop robust ITOM capabilities that deliver real business value.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing, developing, and configuring ServiceNow ITOM solutions in line with platform best practice.
- Implementing and optimising ServiceNow Discovery across complex enterprise environments.
- Developing, maintaining, and improving the CMDB, ensuring high levels of data quality and governance.
- Supporting the implementation and adoption of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
- Configuring and troubleshooting Discovery schedules, patterns, probes, sensors, credentials, and MID Servers.
- Working with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Supporting integrations between ServiceNow and external systems where required.
- Producing technical documentation and participating in testing, deployment, and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and helping shape best practices across the ServiceNow platform.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working as a ServiceNow ITOM Developer.
- Strong hands-on expertise with:
- ServiceNow Discovery
- CMDB
- CSDM
- ServiceNow ITOM development and configuration
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Discovery patterns.
- Strong understanding of the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE).
- Experience working with MID Servers and credential management.
- Good knowledge of ServiceNow development best practices, including scripting and update set management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with additional ITOM capabilities such as:
- Service Mapping
- Event Management
- Cloud Discovery
- Operational Intelligence
- ServiceNow certifications, including:
- Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- CIS – Discovery
