What you’ll do
- Turn client news, data, and insights into newsworthy press releases with clear angles, strong ledes, and quotable lines.
- Shape narratives: identify timely hooks, tie to trends, and anticipate editorial objections.
- Draft supporting assets (talk-tracks, quotes, bullets, email pitch copy) that make coverage easy.
- Interview SMEs/founders to extract proof, data points, and compelling soundbites.
- Collaborate with our PR strategists to align angle, audience, and outlet targets.
- Edit for clarity, credibility, and newsroom standards (AP/house style).
Must-haves (non-negotiable)
- You are a journalist by trade (current or former).
- 3+ years writing for Tier-1 news and/or authoritative industry publications (please list outlets).
- A portfolio of published, bylined pieces demonstrating news judgment and crisp, concise writing.
- Mastery of ledes, nut grafs, headline framing, and news values (timeliness, impact, novelty, authority).
- Experience interviewing sources and fact-checking; comfort with light data storytelling.
- Flawless English and AP-style proficiency.
