Workday AnalystRole OverviewMy client is seeking a skilled Workday Analyst to support the ongoing development, optimisation, and adoption of our Workday platform. This role offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of modules and reporting solutions, helping to embed Workday into business-as-usual operations while driving continuous improvement, system evolution, and data-led insights.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Development & ConfigurationConfigure, maintain, and enhance Workday modules (Core HCM, Recruiting, Absence, Time Tracking, and others).Support the platform’s evolution from initial deployment to full adoption.Actively contribute to Workday’s bi-annual release cycle through testing, analysis, and communication with stakeholders.Reporting & AnalyticsLead and support delivery of dashboards, reports, and data insights using Workday Report Writer (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, Dashboards, and Drive solutions such as Worksheets, Discovery Boards, and Slides).Develop and maintain strategic reporting solutions aligned to organisational needs.Manage cyclical and ad hoc reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with data governance standards.Support progression towards self-service reporting, empowering stakeholders with dynamic and real-time insights.Stakeholder Engagement & SupportServe as a consultative partner to HR, IT, and business teams, gathering requirements and co-creating solutions.Provide clear communication, documentation, and training for HR and business users.Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring strong user adoption and satisfaction.Process Improvement & GovernanceIdentify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate processes, and improve data quality.Ensure compliance with IT change governance, security, GDPR, and reporting standards.Maintain up-to-date documentation of system configuration, processes, and capabilities.Project InvolvementContribute to project planning, testing, and issue resolution.Manage assigned reporting or system enhancement projects end-to-end, from scoping through to delivery.Support integration troubleshooting and cross-functional initiatives.Key Skills & ExperienceHands-on Workday configuration experience across Core HCM and multiple modules (Recruiting, Absence, Time Tracking; additional experience with Talent, Performance, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, or Prism is an advantage).Advanced Workday reporting expertise, including calculated fields and all report types (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, Dashboards, and Drive).Strong analytical and numerical ability, with experience translating data into actionable insights.Skilled in EIB uploads, audits, and data cleansing.Experience supporting Workday’s release cycle and testing new functionality.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and educate across multiple business levels.Able to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge of Workday security, Power BI, or DAX is desirable but not essential.Experience working in professional services or within a centralised HRIS/Workday team is an advantage.
