VAT & GST Registration SpecialistLocation: Hybrid – London (2 days in-office)Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 depending on experienceRole OverviewWe are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented VAT & GST Registration Specialist to join our Tax Compliance team in London. This role supports our clients in managing global VAT and GST compliance, including registrations, deregistrations, and ongoing tax authority communications. The successful candidate will be instrumental in preparing and submitting registration packs, liaising with international tax offices, and ensuring our clients’ tax records remain up to date.You will handle VAT/GST registrations across various jurisdictions and ensure compliance with changing tax authority requirements. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organisation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under time-sensitive conditions. Key ResponsibilitiesVAT/GST Registration & ComplianceManage VAT/GST registrations and deregistrations in multiple jurisdictions globally such as UK, Europe, Australia & New Zealand and CanadaPrepare and submit registration applications and supporting documents to international tax authoritiesConduct initial AML checks on new clientsMaintain and update internal systemsClient & Tax Office LiaisonGather documentation and information from clients for VAT/GST registrationsAct as the primary point of contact for tax offices and clients, both verbally and in writingProactively follow up with authorities for registration progress and address additional queriesChase clients for outstanding documentation and provide timely updates on registration statusHandle incoming post and draft responses to clients and authorities (for review)Team Collaboration & SupportWork closely with the client success managers and sales teams to ensure seamless onboarding of clientsSupport internal compliance by following company policies and proceduresContribute to research on VAT/GST registration thresholds and requirements in new jurisdictionsAssist with ad hoc administrative tasks as required Skills & Experience RequiredExperience & KnowledgeMinimum 2 years’ experience in VAT/GST compliance or indirect tax administrationPrior experience with international tax registrations and liaising with tax authoritiesWorking knowledge of registration requirements and thresholds across global regionsFamiliarity with AML checks and documentation standardsPrevious administrative or client-facing experience in a professional settingSkills & CompetenciesExceptional attention to detail and accuracy in document handlingStrong planning and organisational skills, able to manage multiple deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills – capable of liaising with stakeholders at all levelsTeam player with a flexible, approachable, and proactive attitudeAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced, client-facing environmentJoining our team means being part of a fast-paced, innovative company at the forefront of eCommerce and technology.
