We are looking for an experienced VAT Advisor to join our clients growing VAT team at an exciting time of significant growth. Someone to support both external clients and colleagues across departments with VAT solutions and planning.You will play a pivotal role in helping clients optimise their VAT position and contribute to the growth and development of the team. With the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, our client offers a collaborative environment that supports career growth and provides opportunities for continuous development. This role may offer someone who has an eye on moving up to a Manager role at some point.This permanent opportunity (36.5 hrs pw) offers hybrid (3 days in the office/2 days at home) working mainly from the Coventry office with occasional travel to Leamington/Birmingham. Salary circa £40k - £50k doe plus excellent benefits including flexi-hours with a 2pm finish every Friday. Please note during the probationary period, you will be required to work in the office full-time.Candidate Requirements:Experience in delivering VAT advisory projects, particularly in land and property VAT and international VAT, Non for Profit Sector and Education.Proven track record in managing VAT planning, handling VAT enquiries, and working in an Indirect Tax specialist role.Strong communication skills, both written and oral.Demonstrated ability in client management and relationship building.Flexible, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to work.CTA qualification is a plus but not essential; support for learning and development will be provided.Key Responsibilities:Act as the primary contact for clients, providing VAT solutions, proactive planning, and ensuring high-quality customer service.Support clients with VAT advice on land, property, and international VAT issues.Offer high-level technical support and collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver VAT solutions.Manage and review VAT advisory projects, focusing on land and property VAT as well as international VAT.Assist with VAT planning, handle VAT enquiries, and deliver transaction tax assignments.Supervise and mentor junior team members, including reviewing their work and providing training and support.Embrace opportunities to contribute to various challenging projects that foster professional growth.JBRP1_UKTJ
