We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join our expanding team.Here are some of the activities that you\βll get involved in:Operating Vacuum Excavators β Safely manoeuvring and operating Vac-Ex machinery to remove soil and debris without damaging underground utilities.Utility Avoidance β Carefully excavating around gas, water, electric, and telecom lines to prevent damage.Material Handling & Disposal β Collecting, storing, and disposing of excavated material in accordance with regulations.Routine Maintenance β Performing daily checks and minor maintenance on the Vac-Ex lorry.Assisting the Team β Supporting groundworkers when required, especially if the Vac-Ex is out of service.Site Safety Compliance β Following safety protocols, wearing PPE, and ensuring traffic management procedures are adhered to.Record Keeping β Completing job logs, risk assessments, and other relevant paperwork.Standby & Call-Outs β Being available for standby shifts as part of the team rota.We would love to hear from you ifβ¦You hold a full HGV Class 2 licence with HIAB (grab) and a A78 CPCS qualification for grab and Vac-Ex operation, with utility awareness and HPWJ ticket. Experience operating Vacuum Excavator lorries and working with Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) 7.5t and above is essential. Ideally, you also have a Safety Critical Medical Certificate along with a willingness to work as part of a team when necessary is also important.Additionally having NRSWA (Units 1 & 2 β SLG) qualifications, CPC, or EUSR certifications would be advantageous. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment will also be beneficial in this role.
