🚛 Transport Controller📍 Location: Aberdeen🕒 Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent⏱️ Hours: 7 days on / 7 days off | 06:00 – 18:00Are you a proactive, forward-thinking professional with a passion for logistics and customer service? We are seeking a highly motivated Transport Planner to join our clients team in Aberdeen. In this fast-paced role, you\’ll be responsible for ensuring the efficient utilisation of our fleet while upholding the highest standards of safety and service.Key ResponsibilitiesEfficiently manage cargo collections and deliveries using our Transport Management System (TMS)Plan transport activity and communicate with the Transport & Distribution TeamEnsure clear, accurate driver communication via the TMS phone appCo-ordinate the use of special vehicles (e.g. low loaders, extending trailers)Plan and manage abnormal loads in accordance with legislationMonitor vehicle tracking to improve performance and reduce inefficienciesIdentify cost-saving opportunities related to third-party servicesAssist with vehicle servicing, MOTs, and inspections to meet compliance requirementsSupport continuous improvement in customer service, processes, and cost controlChampion a strong HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) cultureEnsure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standardsWhat We’re Looking ForMinimum RequirementsStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent planning abilities, including financial trackingAbility to work independently while contributing to team successResilient under pressure in fast-changing environmentsProficient in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelDesirableExperience in a high-pressure transport environment with multiple vehicle movementsWorking knowledge of road transport legislation and driver hour managementIf you\’re ready to take on a challenging yet rewarding role where your skills will directly impact operational success, we’d love to hear from you.
